The Rheinland Lions ended the season on a rather different note this year with a paintball session instead of an intra-club footy match.

You think the Lions go hard on the footy field? Take the footy out of our hands and put a highly-pressurized paintball gun in them and you can imagine the action that ensued.

Twenty Lions donned their shabbiest clothing normally reserved for pre-season footy training and battled it out for three hours in an indoor centre near Düsseldorf. To be honest, I don't know whether I finished sorer after that than a two hour footy match! I definitely had more bruises, that's for sure!

After a quick scrub, it was back to Cologne for the Rheinland Lions Presentation for 2012.

The last time we'd all been together was the Grand Final in Stuttgart at the end of September and it was great to be reunited under the same roof once more.
