The Rheinland Lions have signed off for 2025 with its annual awards day in Cologne seeing its Best & Fairest awards taken out by a newcomer and two long-serving club stalwarts.

Straight off the plane, Brayden Beks polled three votes in every game he played until the end of the season, tying with club captain Shintaro Shinoda in the final count, ahead of fellow new recruit Pat Hay.

In the women's count, club legend Lisa Wilson was crowned best and fairest yet again with another stunning season, ahead of fellow stalwart Ioanna Kopasaki.

Other award winners included Luke Papa and Cat Thomson who were named Most Improved Players, and Matt Agius who was named Club Person of the Year.

The club also thanks our club President Alana Richardson, Vice-president Corey Turner and Treasurer Yannick Kahle, who have stepped down at the end of this season. We welcome our new elected committee members, including President Tom Peterson, Vice-President Luke Papa and Treasurer Ines Teriete who will lead the club in 2026.
